best gifts for the girls

I’m being chased by the big 3-0, creeping closer everyday and I’m going to be honest, that makes me kinda nervous. I mean that’s got to mean I’m a proper adult now, no? With that being said, it’s also the year most of my girlfriends are hitting thirty as well, so I need to up my gifting game to make sure I’m hitting the mark.

Since the jewellery market is so oversaturated with a lot of the same things available everywhere, I’ve put my feelers out to find unique, cool pieces so I’m ahead of the game (and not panic-buying at the last minute). I’ve tried to cover all price points and a number of aesthetics as wearing jewellery is a personal thing, you can’t just get gold hoops for everyone so let me know what you think!

Now if you’ve come from my instagram you might have seen a post I did on ‘A Girls Guide to knowing Silver’ in there I mention a brand called Mano Vintage Jewellery. The silver pieces are edgy and I can guarantee that you’ll be one of one wearing these pieces. I think gifting jewellery if such a top tier gift, they’ll have it for a lifetime and feel incredible when they put it on. Their pieces range from around £170 to around £700 depending on the pieces, though most seem to be around the £250 – £500 mark. Keep in mind, you’re paying for serious quality and rarity here. They’ve got everything from statement rings and chunky pendants to actual vintage treasures like cigarette holders and even a funky pair of 1950s French glasses. Absolute vibe.

This next brand is more affordable yet showcases some incredible pieces, plus I’m obsessed with their Instagram page – Mod and Jo. They’ve nailed the aesthetic. Now some of their jewellery is plated so extra care needs to go into making them last. Some of their pieces have a Rhodium coating (which is great it makes the colour last) so they won’t be turning your fingers green in one day but they’re not a ‘wear every day in water’ kinda pair. I’d opt for a 14k gold option if your bestie wants to wear them all the time! Price point can be as low as around £40 for a pair of earrings moving up to around the £100 – £300 price point for other pieces like necklaces and rings. Definitely worth keeping on your list.

If Julia Bartsch Jewellery isn’t on your radar yet, consider this your formal introduction. Her pieces are the definition of ‘if you know, you know.’ Crafted in 18k Gold Vermeil and 925 Sterling Silver, the quality is undeniable. While most earrings and cuffs sit in the €200–€400 range, she also offers show-stopping necklaces that climb toward the €1,000 mark. If you’re hunting for a sleek, long-lasting gift for a 30th milestone, her ear cuffs are an absolute must-see.This is 100% the brand for that friend who has that effortless ‘cool-girl’ aesthetic, she’s minimal but always looks expensive.

Parfois is a big brand that truly cover all bases, from clothing to accessories, but I want to bring their jewellery to your attention. If you’re looking for a lower price point without compromising on personality, and your friend loves the funkier pieces, Parfois is the one. Their designs are just so cool. They’ve absolutely nailed the brief when it comes to statement jewellery. From bold earrings to layered necklaces, chunky rings and playful bracelets, they’ve got everything and anything. This isn’t your everyday minimal jewellery, this is for that friend whose entire personality is accessorising. The kind of friend who can turn a simple outfit into a full look just by stacking, layering and styling.

The best part is the price points are on your side, which means you can get a few unique pieces rather than splurging on one. It’s perfect for building a collection that feels a little bit unexpected. The pieces feel one-of-a-kind, and they’re definitely staying on my go-to list.

Adding these brands to your ‘go to list’ for gifting means you’re way ahead of the game. No more panic buying. If you’ve found any other brands that I could add to my list, let me know!

See you next week,
