whether you’re a gold or silver girl – read this

I’ll have you know I was a silver girl through and through, until I tried on a pair of gold hoops and I quite literally almost died. Dramatic, yes, but life-changing nonetheless. That doesn’t mean silver doesn’t still have a very special place in my heart, especially those unique pieces that make people stop you mid-conversation to ask, “Excuse me, where are your earrings from?”

Of course, there’s no shortage of sterling silver jewellery online. Big, bold, readily available pieces that are classic, familiar, and honestly still very cute. Nothing against them at all, they absolutely have their place. But what I do think is important is knowing there’s more out there.

One jeweller I’ve followed from the very beginning of my UGC journey is TABI DSGN, and she is serving cool girl energy in every sense. Her pieces are sleek, clean, a little bit bossy, and I am completely obsessed. I genuinely cannot get enough.

Naturally, my wishlist is growing. At the top right now: the IMO Choker, the Swoop Ring, and the Peridot Hoops. Yes, I’ve shown them below. Yes, I’m influencing you. And yes, these are absolute must-haves. Are we on the same page yet?

Ok, sticking with the whole cool girl aesthetic, another brand you need to know about is Middaia. This one’s Parisian, and honestly, that already tells you a lot. Their jewellery is handcrafted in Paris using sterling silver and ceramics, which… come on. Sustainable and cool, say less.

Middaia is kooky in the best way and has a real personality. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before. Even if it’s not totally your taste, you can’t help but appreciate the craftsmanship behind each piece. I genuinely mean it when I say: if you’re wearing Middaia, you’ll be the only person in the room with something like that. It speaks for itself.

A couple of my absolute favourites: the Blue Arrow Necklace, with its mix of ceramics and silver, and the Lace Cuff. A true one-off, since each piece uses vintage lace that can’t be replicated. I mean… that’s very much you can’t be me energy.

Now, I genuinely think I’ve found one of the coolest jewellers out there. Her name is Claire Zurowski. She’s a physicist and a jeweller, which already tells you everything you need to know. I really recommend heading to her website and reading more about her because she’s truly a woman of many talents.

Her pieces are completely unique, and the finish on them honestly makes my insides tingle. There’s just something about them. They sit somewhere between art and jewellery, and you can really feel that in the detail.

Yes, her work is on the more expensive side, but that’s to be expected. This is handcrafted, gallery-worthy work that has literally been showcased in exhibitions, and it deserves every bit of that price point. If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind silver pieces that feel like an investment, and you want to be absolutely certain you’ll be the only person in the room wearing it, Claire Zurowski is the one.

Last but certainly not least, and not something I’d usually gravitate towards: hair accessories. Mostly because I can barely execute a ponytail, but that’s beside the point. Silver to Strands is creating the cutest hair jewellery, and I am officially intrigued.

Each piece is made in sterling silver with natural gemstones, and they’re honestly unlike anything I’ve seen before. There’s a real range too, from beaded bands to braid band sets, as well as single, one-of-a-kind pieces that feel more like jewellery than accessories.

These are cool. Like, very cool. I now just need to figure out how to pull them off so I can justify buying them immediately.

These pieces are truly something special. You can see the level of craftsmanship in every detail, and that’s exactly what you’re paying for: the art, the time, the passion behind each piece. That’s what makes them worth it.

I’m always on the lookout for unique, interesting brands that feel a little different, so if you’ve got any finds, please share them below. I’m listening.

See you next week,
